Description: Kong Haakon VII ankommer Norge med Kronprins Olav på armen 1905.

The photograph is taken immediately after the king and his entourage transferred from the Danish ship Danneborg near Drøbak to the Norwegia ship K/S Heimdal, November 25, 1905. Prime minister Christian Michelsen is greeting the newest Norwegians to their new home country and realm. United with his cabinet, the king continued his voyage to Kristiania where they went ashore near Akershus fortress just before 1 pm. In spite of bad weather, a large crowd was waiting for them. The young prince's blanket is in fact light blue. (larger, unretouced photo)
