Description: The Nile Theater opened in 1924 and located at 105 West Main St. in Mesa, Arizona. Opened in 1924, this was Mesa’s first air conditioned building. Blocks of ice were put in a container in the back of the building and a large fan behind the ice distributed the cool air to vents under the theater seats. The theater operated until 1951.
