Description: Map of mercury concentrations measured in the surface sediment of the main channel and tributaries of Berry's Creek, in the New Jersey Meadowlands. The samples were collected and analyzed between 2008 and 2015. The mercury contamination was caused by chemical companies which dumped waste into the creek from the early 20th century to 1974.
