Description: This is a 20 day graph of air temperature measured at the Melbourne, Australia weather station of the Bureau of Meteorology. The days are 2009-01-22 to 2009-02-10, including four days above 43°C. There was intense bushfire activity on these days, with the 7 February record of 46.4°C being the day of the most deadly fires in Australia's history. I also have also uploaded a larger image melbourne-temp-2009-02-10.png showing each day in greater detail. These images are based on the charts created by Andrew Watkins http://www.earthsci.unimelb.edu.au/~awatkins/melbtemp.html . I have his permission to use his images for this purpose and to upload the resulting images to commons.wikimedia.org, with a public domain licence. I will be sending the messages as soon as I have uploaded the images.
