Description: Mbika - (graines de courges moulu) dried ground seed flour in Africa from edible seeds often Citrullus lanatus from or similar Cucurbitaceae (pumpkins, gourds,squashes) which are ground to make a flour used in several popular west and central African recipes, including mbika na mbinzo, a porridge-type dish combined with cooked, edible caterpillars. Known by several names across Africa including 'egusi.'
