Image: Looking NNE - Gallatin County Jail - Bozeman Montana - 2013-07-09
Description: Looking north-northeast at the old Gallatin County Jail, 317 W. Main Street, Bozeman, Montana. Designed by local architect Fred Willson (who built much of downtown Bozeman), it was constructed in 1911. Local rumor has it that brick from the original county courthouse (to the east; now long demolished) was used to build the jail. The Gallatin Historical Society now occupies the building. The society's Pioneer Museum is also housed here. The Gothic Revival structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 1983.
