Description: London City Airport, one of the airports serving Greater London and one of two international airports serving London which is actually within Greater London, the other being Heathrow. Due to the short length of its only runway, no large aircraft are permitted to use the airport. This initially prevented all long-distance flights, until British Airways introduced a flight to New York John F Kennedy (which stops in Shannon in Ireland for refueling) which uses an Airbus A318. The airport cannot be expanded due to its location in the London Docklands area.
