Description: Lloyd Lake. This is a front porch standing without a house — all that remains of a Nob Hill house destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. It is the only public memorial to the disaster in the City, and is on the lake in Golden Gate Park. The Neoclassical portal is sited as an architectural folly, a traditional element in the English landscape garden style.
