Description: This image concerns the landscape concerning the explanation of lightning protectors. In Nikola Tesla's "Lightning-Protector" (U.S. Patent 1266175), he discusses an early type of dissipater-arrester, which the patent states to prevent and safely dissipate lightning strikes. In the 1918, description, novel and advantageous construction of a protector in accord with the true character of the phenomena of ligtning is described. This corrects Benjamin Franklin's hypothesis, and subsequent construction, for such devices.
