Description: A “Liegnitz Bomb” (German: Liegnitzer Bombe), a German gingerbread confection originally from the Silesian city of Liegnitz (now Legnica, Poland). Liegnitz Bombs are high round cakes with a filling of marzipan and candied fruit. This particular specimen was manufactured by a Hamburg patisserie. It measures 45 mm tall and 75 mm in diameter.
