Description: The original foundation was a chapel from the 12th-century reign of David I which became a rectory for the collection of tithes. After the Reformation it became the parish kirk for the village of Liberton, about two miles south of Edinburgh. The present building is a remodelling completed by James Gillespie Graham in 1815.
