Description: Lewis Tannery about 50 North Malin Road, north of PA 3, Marple Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. A township historical marker (in the same basic format as the famous PA state markers) says that this was operated as a tannery 1839-1865 by abolitionist James Lewis and was used in the underground railroad.
