Description: Leucocoprinus birnbaumii is a fungus commonly found growing next to indoor pot plants. Its natural habitat is limited to the tropics and sub-tropics, but is found growing indoors all around the world. It is a saprophytic fungus, using decayed organic matter as an energy source for its growth and reproduction. The fungus is considered (mildly) toxic and not edible.
