WHEN FRANCE CEDED LOUISIANA TO SPAIN IN1763 LOS ADAES CLOSED AND THE HABITANTS RETURNED TO SAN ANTONIO OR EVENTUALLY MOVED TO NACHITOCHES. THE OUTLINE ON THE GROUND IN THE PICTURE IS THAT OF THE PRESIDIO
