Description: This is the former Knight's Store at Balsam, North Carolina. Located across Balsam Depot Road from the site of the old Balsam Depot, the building was constructed around the turn of the 20th Century, and remained in use until 1979. Today, the building remains abandoned and in an advanced state of decay, and is the last remaining commercial structure near the former Balsam Depot.
