Description: The Old Roane County Courthouse in Kingston, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The courthouse was built in 1854-1855 by architect Augustus Fisher, and operated as the county's courthouse until 1974. The courthouse is now a museum operated by the Roane County Heritage Commission. The courthouse was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
