Description: Kilgetty Iron Works. The iron foundry was built in 1848, to take advantage of the anthracite coal, iron ore and limestone available locally, but closed in 1877. The ruins have been consolidated and can be explored. At the top is a row of five limekilns, and below them the Casting House, with a gabled front with three arched doorways and three circular openings above them. To the north are the ruins of the Engine Blast House and a workshop. At SN142074.
