Description: Picture of the former P&O Canal lock in downtown Kent, Ohio. In 2004 the channel was widened to allow the Cuyahoga River to be routed through the former lock, bypassing the attached dam to improve water quality. The rock wall on the far left of the channel was built from stones of the lock when it was widened in 2004. The original base of the left wall of the lock can be seen in the center of the main channel.
