Description: Illustration of Kennington station on the London Underground's Northern line as reconstructed in 1920s when the City and South London Railway's station was rebuilt with two additional platforms when the Hampstead Tube was extended to it. Drawing shows the loop constructed for reversing trains on the Charing Cross branch that terminate at Kennington. The new platforms opened on 13 September 1926.
