Description: Kahikolu (trinity) church was built in 1852, on the ruins of an older church built in 1841. Rev. John D. Paris supervised the construction of this and several other historic churches in the area. It was abandoned in 1953, but rebuilt from 1982 - 1984. In 1993 the remains of early Hawaiian missionary Henry Opukahaʻia, known as Obookiah during his lifetime, (c. 1792–1818) was re-interred n the cemetery.
