Description: Portrait of Major Joseph W. Latimer, officer of the Confederate Army. Major Joseph White Latimer (VMI Class of 1863) was mortally wounded at Gettysburg on July 2, 1863 and died on August 1. He was known as the "Boy Major" and served with W. A.
