Description: John J. Suhr House (ca. 1891) in Madison, Wisconsin. The Suhr family, the owners of the local German-American Bank, were at the time the only German family that resided in the Yankee-dominated Mansion Hill neighborhood. Constructed in the Second Empire style, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
