Description: This 6-week-old female is presented with symptoms of jaundice, which was proven to be due to hypothyroidism. This patient was treated with supplemental thyroid hormonal therapy, and appeared to be a normal healthy child at 1 year of age. Female infants are statistically twice as likely to develop congenital hypothyroidism than the male infants.
