Description: Historic photorgaph of Jane and Heman Gibbs, thought to be their wedding day circa 1848. They moved to Minnesota shortly after and bought a farm in present day Falcon Heights, near the Minnesota State Fair grounds. Jane was abducted by missionaries in Batavia, New York when she was 5. She grew up with the Dakota as her new father tried to convert them.
