Description: Invercauld House The House dates from the 13th century, and is the seat of Capt. A. Farquharson, chief of the Farquharson clan, of which my family name is a sept. The House lies next to the river Dee, near Braemar Castle and Balmoral Castle. The snow covered mountain in the background is Ben-a-Bhuird, taken from a loch near the House.
