Description: Infinity Footbridge The new North Shore footbridge over the River Tees, built at a cost of £15m, was opened in May 2009 and renamed the Infinity Bridge on account of its shape when reflected in the river resembles the mathematical symbol for infinity. It was too breezy on this day to see this. To the left is the Teesside campus of the University of Durham. In the foreground is a barrier shielding off one of the many lagoons around which the campus is built.
