Description: The “Mothball Fleet” was moored in the Hudson River between Jones Point and Tompkins Cove, across from Buchanan, NY as depicted in this 1950s era photograph from 1946 to 1971. It was part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet, established by act of Congress in 1946.
