Description: Maps of the 2018 Hualien earthquake showing the locations of foreshocks and aftershocks. The maps are taken from the USGS earthquake catalog results pages for periods a few days before and a few days after the mainshock with some extra annotation. The magnitudes shown are taken from the USGS lists. The right-hand map shows the locations of the mainshock as a red star and the foreshocks of M>4.5 that preceded it - the first of the sequence of M4.8 is highlighted. The left-hand map shows the locations of the mainshock and aftershocks of M>4.5 up to 18:00 UTC on 9 February - the largest aftershock of M5.7 is highlighted
