Description: A Wellingtonia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) sapling, planted in Hockeridge Woods near Berkhamsted in 2015 by Mary Wellesley to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. Mary Wellesley, great-great-granddaughter of the Duke of Wellington, donated the woodland to the Royal Forestry Society in 1986. The accompanying plaque
