Description: Hino Standardized SCR Unit which combines Diesel Particulate Reduction System (DPR) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to reduce pollution from the exhaust. DPR is a diesel particulate filter with additional temperature control to efficiently burn off the soot captured in the filter. The temperature is controlled by triggering small fuel injection bursts to add heat and with the oxygen, the soot in the filter is burned off. The SRC uses the Diesel Exhaust Fluid to react with NOx to convert into nitrogen, water and small amounts of carbon dioxide.
