Description: The Hellenic Orthodox Church of Sts. George and Demetrios at 140 East 103rd Street at the corner of Lexington Avenue in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1891 and was designed by Franklin Baylies in the Romanesque Revival style. It was originally the Blinn Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church, until 1930. In 1931 the new Greek Orthodox Church of St. George took over the sanctuary, and was joined by the parish of St. Demetrios in 1934; the latter was founded in 1927.
