Description: Cast of a Hatzegopteryx thambema wrist bone. On display as part of the exhibit "Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs" at the Cleveland Natural History Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. This pterosaur, of which only a handful of bones have been found, was the largest in world history. It had an estimated wingspan of 33 to 40 feet. This animal lived about 67 million years ago. This fossil was found in the Sebes formation in the Hațeg Basin in Romania. This is a cast; the fossil itself is held by the Transylvanian Museum Society.
