Description: Campaign button for Hannibal Hamlin, 1860. Portrait appears in tintype. Hannibal Hamlin was vice presidential running mate to Abraham Lincoln, whose portrait appears on the other side of the button. One of the earliest examples of photographic images on political buttons.
