Description: This canoe was carved and painted by David Shant's assistants around 1934. The canoe was made by the native Indian Haisla members of the Kitimat Athlete club. It was donated as a gift to the UBC Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, Canada in 1948...where it is displayed today.
