Description: Young Hadhrami immigrants landing in Surabaya, Dutch East Indies, in the 1920s. Starting in the 19th century, a large number of young men from the impoverished Hadhramaut, South Arabia, migrated to the Far East, principally to the Dutch East Indies, Singapore and the Malay States, where they formed prosperous colonies.
