Description: 1897; THIS HOTEL WAS BUILT BY A GROUP OF LOCAL BUSINESSMEN AND WAS ORIGINALLY CALLED THE "DELMONICO”. IT WAS RENAMED THE HURST HOTEL WHEN ALFRED HURST PURCHASED IT IN THE EARLY 1900'S. THIS THREE-STORY BRICK BUILDING WITH MANSARD ROOF REPRESENTS THE EPITOME OF ELEGANCE FOR A FIRST-CLASS HOTEL AT THAT TIME AND IS RELATIVELY UNALTERED FROM ITS ORIGINAL STATE.
