Description: North Carolina state historical marker for Guilford Courthouse, located within the boundaries of present-day Greensboro, North Carolina. Guilford Courthouse was the site of a major battle of the American Revolution, when forces under American General Nathanael Greene confronted the troops of British General Lord Cornwallis. The site of the battlefield is today a United States Military Park.
