Description: Grey headed flying fox (Pteropus poliocephalus) skimming a pond in Brisbane's City Botanical Gardens. Flying foxes drink and cool themselves on warm days by flying low and briefly dipping their bodies into the water of ponds, lakes, or rivers. They then land in a nearby tree and lick the water from their fur.
