Description: The Great Kiva is located within the Chimney Rock Archaeology Area in the San Juan National Forest in Archuleta County Colorado. Experts believe this to have been built circa 1084 by the early Puebloan people. It would have originally bore an adobe plaster exterior. The structure was rebuilt in 1972.
