Left to right: 1: w:Laurence Hastings, 1st Earl of Pembroke (1319–1348) 2: w:Richard Talbot, 2nd Baron Talbot (c.1306–1356) 3: Maurice de Berkeley (d.1347), of Stoke Gifford in Gloucestershire, killed at the Siege of Calais, who had acquired the manor of Stoke Gifford in 1337. He married Margery De Vere, possibly a daughter of Alphonse De Vere, Knight, of Aston Sanford, Buckinghamshire and Great Hormead, Hertfordshire. He founded the prominent Berkeley family of Stoke Gifford, a junior branch of Berkeley of Berkeley Castle, Baron Berkeley. He was the second son of Maurice de Berkeley, 2nd Baron Berkeley, 7th feudal baron of Berkeley (1271–1326), Maurice the Magnanimous, of Berkeley Castle, who granted him the manor of Stoke Gifford, and was the younger brother of Thomas de Berkeley, 3rd Baron Berkeley, 8th feudal baron of Berkeley (1293/6–1361) Thomas the Rich. 4: w:Thomas de Bradeston, 1st Baron Bradeston (d.1360)
