Description: The George Greenman House at 47 Greenmanville Avenue in Mystic, Connecticut was built in 1839 in the Greek Revival style for George Greenman, the oldest of three brothers who founded the George Greenman & Co. shipyard. The porches with their ornate decoration were added in the 1870s. The house is part of the Mystic Seaport Museum and the Mystic Bridge Historic District. (Source: Interpretive sign on site)
