Description: Now known as "The Gables", this building was one of four colonial hospitals built in the 1840s. It was bought by Mary King and moved to the Brooklands estate in 1904. Today it serves as an art Gallery, and is New Zealand'd oldest surviving hospital building. New Zealand Historic Places Trust Register number: 29
