Description: Statue of General Francis E. Spinner, showing his famous signature which appeared on the Civil War greenbacks. Myers Park, Herkimer New York. Unveiled on June 29, 1909 by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The height of the statue is 7 feet 6 inches, and cost "over 20,000". Inscription reads: "The fact that I was instrumental in introducing women to employment in the offices of the government gives me more real satisfaction than all the other deeds of my life."
