Description: The John Keating House was built in 1888 and is located in 234 Willow St. in Florence, Arizona. John Keating was a pioneer stage driver. He served in the Territorial legislature, Florence town councilman and mayor of Florence. He was owner of the “Tunnel Saloon”, site of the 1888 Pete Gabriel-Joe Phy shootout. Listed as Historic by the Historic District Advisory Commission.
