Description: An adult male. Despite the male's bold colours this is a surprisingly difficult wee bird to pick out in the dense subcanopy. Males have an assortment of calls -the most prominent of which is a loud whisteld Tooo-leee-doo, hence the birds local Tico name of Toledo! Image taken at Rincon de La Vieja, Costa Rica
