Description: The name "Breadalbane" is generally thought to be an English language corruption of the gaelic "Bràghaid Albainn" meaning the High country of Scotland. This area is geographically the heart of Scotland and was once also its political centre lying firmly within the land of the Picts, an enigmatic people who, in large part gave rise to the modern Scots.
