Based on the last flag of the Confederacy in the U.S. Civil War. "Intended to commemorate General Nathan Bedford Forrest's rescue of Murfreesboro townspeople under threat of execution, but its use of Confederate imagery immediately mired it in controversy. A group of residents brought a lawsuit to revoke its adoption, but the judge ruled that the county commission was within its rights. Nevertheless the negative publicity around the flag caused the commission to change its original plan of flying the flag daily at the county courthouse, instead scheduling it to be flown there on only three designated days of the year and at the Confederate monument the rest of the year."
