Description: This natural-colour (photo-like) image shows several lightning-triggered fires (outlined in red) south west of Fairbanks, Alaska. The largest was the combined Bear Lake/Minto Flats South Fire; according to the situation summary report from the Alaska Inter-agency Coordination Centre, the fire was estimated to be just over 79,000 acres. The Bear Creek Fire is just inside the northern perimeter of Denali National Park. Dark brown patches mark the locations of old fires.
