A.D. 1886 on the site of Mills worked by Benedictine Monks of the Priory at Cowick A.D. 1325. Alfred Bodley Engineer, Brook & Ash Builders. The mill is privately owned. It was original the Higher Mill; the Lower Mill has been demolished
