Description: Adult male Brewer's Blackbird, Euphagus cyanocephalus, apparently "gaping" (forcibly opening its bill) to probe for food in soil. Birds of the family Icteridae are among the few that can force their beaks open. Probably my yard, Española, New Mexico.
